Sniper Elite 5: New trailer shows game scenes from multiplayer

Rebellion has released a new trailer for Sniper Elite 5, which presents the features and game modes of the shooter.

The video integrated below contains excerpts from the multiplayer and invasion mode for the first time. All scenes contained therein come directly from the game.

The extensive campaign of the title is located in France in 1944 and revolves around the events of the D-Day. The elite scorer Karl Fairburne reveals a conspiracy under the name Operation Krake, which threatens to turn the sheet in favor of the Nazis in the war.

Karl operates in secret, moves behind the enemy lines and has to use all skills to put the operation from the octopus and her mastermind Abelard Möller. The entire campaign can be contested online co-op mode for two. In this way, players can oppose the axis powers and work together to stop Möller.

But also human opponents stand in the way this time. In the new invasion mode, players can enter a game session as snipers of the axis powers to take Karl into the crosshair himself.

The invasor commands AI soldiers of the axis powers who help him find Karl's whereabouts. A nerve-wracking cat and mouse game develops from this dynamic. Karl can use the telephones placed in the level to collect information about the attacker and his location. The invasion mode can be switched on or off in the game menu.

The multiplayer mode is not only limited to the campaign, but also offers a number of exciting combat modes for several players. There are four nuclear play modes to choose from in Sniper Elite 5. Everyone offers a variety of adaptation options that enable matches to create according to their own ideas.

The Sniper Elite series has always been known for its advanced weapon physics, which has been further improved in Sniper Elite 5. The weapons models were modeled on their real role models in great detail in order to ensure maximum authenticity. This gives the weapons in Sniper Elite 5 players a unique feeling when they use them.

The kill cam characteristic of the series was also revised. In addition to rifle and takedown kills, the Kill Cam now trigger clinically precise killings with pistols and SMGs. Balks are distracted by bones and unleash an even more devastating effect that players are presented bloodier than ever.

The adaptation of the weapons was also greatly improved. Shaft, magazines, locking housing, run, scope and visor as well as the material of a weapon can now be changed according to your own wishes. Players are free to put together their arsenal according to their personal preferences and the respective mission.

The adaptation options are activated in the game by finding workbenches that are hidden on the maps. Players can then modify their equipment there. So you can spontaneously change your style of play and your approach without having to restart a mission.

New movement mechanics ensure even more options when choosing the procedure. Depending on what you choose, players can secretly pirs in the shade or seek the direct confrontation with the enemy.

Due to the ability to climb up on lianas, Karl is now able to open up new areas of the MAP. In turn, new Schleich routes, advantageous viewpoints and entrances to secret locations open up to him, which also drives up the replay value of each mission.

Sniper Elite 5 will be released on May 26, 2022 at the same time in the Xbox Game Pass, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 4 & 5 as well as PC via Epic Games Store, Steam and Windows Store. Pre -orders are now possible. All pre-orders receive an additional “target guide” campaign mission entitled “Wolf Mountain”. A deluxe edition is also available. This also includes the Season Pass One and the P.1938 Suppressed Pistol for pre -orderers.
